A bit about me

Hello! My name is Frankie and I live in the North East of Scotland with my fiancée Jacqueline and my little Cocker Spaniel Arty.

I am a huge sports fan, football, golf, tennis, boxing and UFC all being particular favourites of mine.  If one of them is on chances are I’ll want to watch it!  I really enjoy being active and epecially so in the outdoors. Climbing, Hiking, Snowboarding, Golf and Cycling all being activities I enjoy when I get the chance.  Cooking is something I really enjoy too, I find it very cathartic like I do with photography.   It’s an interest which has been of great use too with my competition dish of Venison winning us our dream wedding for 2017!

In terms of photography I am relatively new to the table so to speak having only begun taking pictures at the tail end of 2012.  It was the technical aspect of photography which really appealed to me at first In much the same way as economics had done at University and Accountancy has done as my day job.  On top of the technicalities of photography (something I have immersed myself into fully) the creative possibilities are utterly endless and so the scope to photograph new things and in perhaps new ways really appeals to me.

To photograph is to hold one’s breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It’s at that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy

Over the past 4 years I have steadily built up my knowledge and skillbase as well as gained invaluable experience from both assisting and from working as a business on my own.  Nowadays I regularly photograph portraiture, weddings, landscapes (for print and press) as well as commercial photography for all manner of businesses.  And best of all none of it has ever particularly felt like work and I’ve also enjoyed every single second of It!
